I returned this item only because these same speakers were free with a receiver I purchased the next week at Best Buy, but the sound quality is great and the price is as well. WARNING.: The only thing in the back of the speakers are openings for speaker cables only so a receiver is key to hooking them up to anything at all.
I bought these speakers some where esle, to use with my Qinpu Q1 Ampifler, running from my ampilfer these speakers sound very good. Fills up my room and do pretty well in blu ray/HD dvd movies.Also works very well with Dolby Virtual speaker when I playing games with them also. I also try music too also sound good on these But then I have it plug into my Qinpu Q1 which is plugged into my computer running off 2x LME49720 I/V+ OPA627AU buffer Op-amps.I got these to use when people are over or dont feel like using my Ultrasone HFI-780's.They work best with a good reciver or ampiler one that can drive them fully.
Don't expect earth shaking bass though. Bought these to fit in a small space for surround sound speakers. Good sound for the size if you need a smaller unit. Work well for intended purpose and price can't be beat. They are 8 ohm so will work will almost all home theatre receiver output. Don't use the speaker wire supplied with units though, it's way too small. Buy some better wire at 16ga and enjoy your system.
Same wattage. I have a Denon AVR888.The speakers were blown out within 20 minutes. The other speakers.Pioneers. As well as the center speaker.a JVC. are doing well.
really like these speakers, small but can fill a room with no problem. sound is really good. I replaced my computer speakers with these ones, conected to my computer with a projector and voila.great movie theater with great sound for $500 bucks.
